Insta360 X4 360° Action Camera

Insta360 X4 360° Action Camera is capable of shooting 360° 8K30 video in dual or single lens mode, all in one portable action camera. The X4 offers an action-ready design with artificial intelligence-based software for an intuitive approach to creating dynamic content in various environments, as well as a removable lens protector, “Bullet Time” shooting up to 5K120, and 11K time-lapse. The X4 also features a rugged design, water resistance up to 33′, and an upgraded 2290mAh rechargeable battery for longer usage time.

8K30 360° Video

The X4 features an ultra-sharp 8K resolution, which has 78% more pixels than 5.7K for better detail and greater clarity, so recorded video can be matched with standard camera video for easier editing. As the videos are recorded with high-quality H.265 compression, the 8K files are small enough to edit using the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio.

60 fps Capture

The X4 supports 5.7K60 video for smooth images at ultra-high resolution. It also supports 4K100 shooting for super slow-motion videos. It also has Me Mode, which records flat 170° field-of-view videos, perfect for POV videos with an invisible selfie stick. Me Mode supports slow-motion modes up to 4K30 and 2.7K120 with external stitching. When in 2.7K30 mode, X4 supports camera stitching with MP4 files ready for sharing.

72MP PureShot Photos

X4 uses PureShot AI to process 72MP photos in-camera, producing high-quality, share-ready images with low noise and high-quality colors.
MegaView FOV

MegaView is a new field-of-view (FOV) option in the Studio app/software that processes 360° videos with less distortion at the edges for higher overall image quality. MegaView supports various aspect ratios, including 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, 3:4, and 2:35:1.

2 Cameras in 1 with 4K60 Single Lens Mode

The X4 camera doubles up as a wide-angle action camera by recording with just one lens. This feature has been upgraded in the X4 from previous models to support 4K60, and supports a field of view of up to 170°.
NOTES: 4K60 is not suitable for low-light conditions.
Invisible Selfie Stick for Third-Person Views

When the X4 is attached to a selfie stick, the stick gets lost in your edit, allowing you to take aerial angles and third-person perspectives that may be difficult to achieve without a second operator.
Insta360 Mobile App

The Insta360 mobile app lets you edit 360° footage with ease.

Quick Edit: Choose from several reframing methods, such as physically moving your phone, swiping the screen, using the new virtual joystick, or long pressing to activate the improved Deep Track 3.0 for smoother footage.
Edit AI: Simple editing for novice users makes framing and editing a breeze.
Pro Mode: For a hands-on approach, you can manually add keyframes and perform advanced editing using the Pro tab.

motion ND: Apply cinematic ND filters without the need for physical filters to achieve Motion ND effects.

App Background Downloads: Download footage from the camera while the Insta360 app runs silently in the background, leaving your phone free for other tasks.
AI Gesture Control

You can now use hand gestures to start/stop recording or taking photos, which is perfect for group photos, noisy locations, attaching to selfie sticks, when wearing thick gloves, or just to not disturb others around with sounds like voice control.
5.7K120 Bullet Time

Achieve “Bullet Time” slow-motion video (a reference to The Matrix) using the 5.7K120 Bullet Time mode on the X4. This mode allows you to achieve a cinematic slow-motion look using a higher frame rate and resolution.
Time-Lapse 11K and Time Shift 8K

Time-lapse 11K: 360° time-lapse video is now available on the X4 in 11K, capturing a wide view over time from a still position.
TimeShift 8K: Users can record creative videos in an easy-to-use mode with a selfie stick while walking.

Desktop Insta360 Studio Software

Use the new and improved Insta360 Studio and take your 360° skills to the next level and stand out. It features keyframing, professional tools, H.265 encoding, 100 Mb/s bit rate, 4K output, and high frame rates for action footage that are all ideal for uploading to Internet sites like YouTube.
A new Insta360 Reframe plugin for Adobe Premiere is also available, which saves time during your editing workflow. It directly imports .insv files into Premiere without any hassle.
